Consultation on the Pre-submission version of The Plan has now begun.
The Plan has been put together based on the views of the people of Whaley Bridge.
Now it has been made into a formal plan with policies to reflect those views.

CONSULTATION HAS NOW BEGUN
From noon 20th May to noon 2nd July
It is now time for you to have your say on The Plan before it goes to High Peak Borough Council for scrutiny.
Officially this is a six week consultation known as a Regulation 14 consultation, and has to take place by law to show that The Plan is what local people want.
Once you have taken a look at The Plan please let us know what you think by completing our short questionnaire

All the policies within The Plan have been made after listening to the views of local people. The Steering Group also commissioned a report from AECOM who created a Design Code. You can find out more about this on our Maps and Further Info Page

NEXT STEPS
What happens to my comments?
Your comments will be considered by the V4W Steering Group and a final Plan put forward to High Peak Borough Council. After this the next steps will be to get The Plan approved by High Peak Borough Council and finally put it to a local referendum.
Once accepted, it will be used to shape planning policy over the next 10 years. The final plan will be taken into account when the Council is weighing up new proposals for housing or industrial development in the area.
