DESIGN CODE

During December 2019 we and members of the community met with AECOM who helped us put together a Design Code for the area. We used this to shape some of the policies with The Plan.

NATIONAL POLICIES

The Localism Act 2011 makes provision (at Part 6, Chapter 3) for the making of Neighbourhood Development Plans (aka ‘Neighbourhood Plans’) and Neighbourhood Development Orders


Local planning policies and determinations (ie decisions) about planning applications must be in compliance with the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)

LOCAL POLICIES

The current High Peak Local Plan applies to all areas of High Peak which are outside the Peak District National Park (the ‘Peak Park’). It was adopted by High Peak Borough Council on 14 April 2016.
